Contest will take place at Rollertown at 2:15 pm.

Objective

Contestants race to roll a barrel (empty wooden or plastic keg-style barrel) from the starting line to the finish line as quickly as possible, without losing control.

Eligibility

• Open to participants 16 years and older (or set your preferred age).
• Contestants must wear closed-toe shoes.
• No intoxicated individuals may participate.

Equipment & Setup

• Barrel will be provided by the event organizers (Rollertown)
• Racecourse will be a straight line, marked with clear start and finish lines.
• Barrels must remain on the designated course.

Contest Rules

• Contestants may only use their hands to roll the barrel (no kicking, lifting, or carrying).
• If the barrel tips over, contestants must immediately right it and continue.
• Contestants may not interfere with other competitors or leave their designated lane.
• The entire barrel must cross the finish line to complete the race.
• Judges’ decisions are final.

Competition Format

• Single heats of 2–4 contestants at a time.
• Fastest barrel roller in each heat advances to the next round.
• Final round determines the Barrel Rolling Champion.

Prizes

• $100 Gift card to a local Celina business. The Celina Chamber has pre-purchased a variety of gift cards from our local shops, restaurants, and hangouts. Winners will get to choose their prize from the set of cards on hand.
• Bragging rights and recognition at the event

Safety Rules

• Contestants must remain in control of their barrel at all times.
• Any dangerous or reckless behavior will result in disqualification.
• Event staff reserve the right to stop the contest at any time for safety concerns.
