Contest will take place at main activity stage (between Silos and Little Wooden Penguin) at 12:30 pm and again at 4:30 pm.

Objective

Contestants must hold a full one-liter stein of liquid with one outstretched arm, parallel to the ground, for as long as possible without spilling or lowering the stein.

Eligibility

• Contestants must be 21 years or older.
• Contestants must use the official steins provided by the Chamber.
• No intoxicated individuals may participate.

Contest Rules

• Stein must be filled to the designated line with water or beer.
• Contestants must hold the stein with one arm extended straight out in front of them, parallel to the ground.
• The arm holding the stein must remain straight (no bending at the elbow).
• The off hand must remain at the side and may not support the stein or holding arm.
• Spilling liquid, lowering the stein below parallel, bending the elbow, or switching hands will result in disqualification.
• Judges’ decisions are final.

Competition Format

• Contestants line up and begin at the same time.
• A judge will watch for rule infractions and disqualify contestants as needed.
• The last contestant remaining with proper form is the winner.

Prizes

• $100 Gift Card – to a local Celina business. The Celina Chamber has pre-purchased a variety of gift cards from our local shops, restaurants, and hangouts. Winners will get to choose their prize from the set of cards on hand.
• Recognition on stage

Safety Rules

• Contestants should stop if they feel pain or discomfort beyond normal fatigue.
• Event staff reserve the right to remove any contestant for safety concerns.
