We are seeking a hands-on Controller with experience using QuickBooks Online to assist the Owner and CFO and to supervise a Payroll Manager and Accounting Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

•  Assist CFO with cash forecasting, preparation of quarterly financial statements, banking relationships, equipment purchases, contractor set up and payments, employee benefit maintenance, HR compliance, and annual insurance renewals.

•  Assist Owner with customer quotes, billings and special projects.  

•  Supervise our Payroll Manager with the on-boarding of employees and processing our biweekly payroll, using QuickBooks Online premium payroll service.  We currently have 25 full-time employees and will hire approximately 100 seasonal employees during our season from March thru November.

•  Supervise our Accounting Assistant who inputs the daily employee credit card transactions.  Reconcile the credit card statement monthly.

What We’re Looking For

•  5+ years progressive accounting experience working in a small to mid-sized business environment

•  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance

•  Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills

•  High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail

•  Strong organizational and communication skills

Location

We are currently looking for new office space in the Celina/Prosper/Frisco area.  The job of Controller will require a blend of in-person days in this new office and remote work.
